Yakisugi furniture and restored Japanese chef knives. Each piece made once, for one person.
Shou sugi ban is an ancient Japanese technique of preserving timber through controlled charring. The result is a surface simultaneously fragile and enduring — deeply black, textured by fire, alive with natural grain. Each piece carries the marks of its making.
